Is he raging?!

So I have the best cat - he was the runt (now 8.5yo)

In May 2020 my partner moved here (yes, lockdown... it was the only way we could be together)
In feb last year we rescued another cat - a (now) 9 yo Maine coon.

We went on holiday at the beginning of July and since then dcat hasn't really been home for any long periods of time.
He has always been an outside cat, when we moved into this house (2017 - same village) he took a bit of time before he didn't try to go home...

I feel like he's really pissed off at me. He has come home tonight (first time that I know of since Friday night - the window is always open so he comes and goes) and I'm not letting him back out. I feel I need to keep him in for a while so he knows this is "home" again.

If anyone has any advice I'd absolutely take it on...

Sounds like he knows where you are, the weathers turning so he’s come back to see you.

Yep. As it gets colder he'll be back.

No harm in keeping him in for a day/night but I wouldn't say he's raging. Some cats are couch potatoes, some need to visit the world, most are in between.

If you really are worried treat him to his favourite food, plenty of dreamies and a little play, make him realise what a lovely place it is 😉

Yep, sounds very familiar. My cat is the same.
He's just come back after 2 weeks away, well i say came back, but actually we found and brought him back. Winter normally sorts him out and he stays around a bit more.
