New kitten

Hi, I've adopted a kitten and she'll be ready to come to us in just under 3 weeks. I've not told my son as want her to be a surprise and also I don't want him asking every 5 minutes when we are getting her! She's currently with a foster carer to free up space in the cat sanctuary. I've received these photos of her and just had to share them 😻. It's so hard to keep her a secret from my son! She's called Sushi (my son's favourite food and cats like fish 🤷🏻‍♀️😄).
Has any one got any tips on helping her to settle in or anything else you found useful? Thank you 😊
The picture of her being held was when she was a week old, she's now 5 weeks old.

@AmJustDone the table is from Wilko's online. I've never used them before but am really impressed!

I don't think my son will be letting her out of his site 🤣.
I've been helping out at the cat sanctuary and it's so sad how many are there.
Recently a lady was driving over a very hilly, winding road with her son and he needed to go for a wee so she pulled over and they heard a strange noise. She found a cat and her 4 very new born kittens abandoned at the side of the road 😔. They are at the sanctuary and luckily doing well

so do you think somebody just dumped a pregnant female? How utterly depressing and heartbreaking is that, it is like some kind of divine intervention at the boy needed a wee isn’t it.

@TwoMonthsOff I love a multi use item! DP rolls his eyes at me when I get new things that aren't the norm (a toaster that cooks eggs at the same time for example 🤣) but I think he's secretly impressed!!

Yes definitely a miracle that they stopped! It was a road with no houses or buildings across the Pennine hills. We aren't sure if she was dumped when pregnant or once the 4 kittens had been born. The weather turned horrible the next day too so it could have been a terrible ending 😔
