Cat peed

I have 10 rescues over the years all either totally psycho and with medical or other problems.
Last one died last year.
Now have 2 new ones. A lovely black kitten almost a year old now. And a 12 year old timid rescue. We all get on wonderfully and have done from the beginning. The cats play together all the time.
Woke up this morning wet and stinking of cats pee. It was dearly beloved 12 year old who peed on me as I slept and the bedding and the mattress. I had 2 showers and still smell a bit rank.
I suspect she has cat dementia as she has been wailing and confused during the night.
I dont have any experience of cat dementia. I'm taking her to the vet for a physical check and ageing cat blood tests to exclude physical problems.
If she has dementia how can I make her more secure at night? She is very clingy during the day and follows me everywhere.

At age 12, I think it's more likely she is telling you that she's not happy with something. Insecurity, maybe just being territorial.
I was once pee'd on in bed, and sadly that was the end of our co-sleeping. I couldn't relax with her in the bed after that.
