Changing from kitten to cat food

It’s my kitty’s 1st birthday on Saturday and I’ve just realised I will have to change from kitten to adult food.
my wonder is if paying more for food is actually worth it? She’s currently on whiskers pouches and purina one dry food.
i went to order the adult stuff and saw tescos own brand is so much cheaper! Does it really matter what brand of food they have?
obviously she’s my beautiful cat and will pay whatever is better for her but wondered if whilst I am transitioning her food is it worth paying more?

Shes an indoor cat (have tried getting her outside but she won’t!) and on top of normal food eats lots of spiders!

picture so you can see how amazing cute she is ❤️

Yes, my vet refers to Whiskas as "chocolate" (I.e. the junk food of cat food).
Mine both have Royal Canin and people always comment on how lovely and shiny their coats are. They have a mix of the Hairball and Oral Care biscuits (plus a little wet food for variety). No hairballs since I started them on the hairball food either.

Canagan dry food free feeding and one hi life pouch a day. Get from local pet shop. Bit expensive...
Has been on canagan dry ( chicken) since kittenhood. Choice of hi life kitten pouch or mature. Pet shop owner says doesn't matter which as dry food covers nutrition and pouch a treat food.
Vet commented on 🐈 cat's lovely coat and great teeth last visit...

Ours is just turning one, he has Canagan dry food and a can of Nuevo every day. Whiskas is rubbish, it has a low meat content and is full of fillers. I read somewhere that it's the McDonalds of cat food.
