My 15 year old cat has had an itchy skin problem for about 9 years or so now. THINK it’s mostly seasonal but I remember one year she had her buster on at Christmas. Have tried hypoallergenic diet for a few years but no real difference. Used to be managed with steroids but hadn’t helped at all this year and seems to be getting worse with age. Usually collar goes on about April and hopefully off around October with test breaks in between which always sees her back at square one. Always itchy in same places- in front of one ear and under chin.
Has anyone else’s cat experienced this? We’ve had so many vet visits over it. Was even on a strong immunosuppressant for a few months a couple of years ago the vet said he would never give to a human!
