Too late for another kitten?

Kitten is now 5 months old and while she’s fab, I’m wishing I’d got two instead of one. It wasn’t an option at the time as there was only one left in the litter.

Shes happy and settled, very loving, totally bonkers and I’m wondering if it would mean and unsettling to get another at this stage?

Absolutely not too late! But also,sooner the better. The best gift you can give your cat is another cat imo.

We’ve actually just made this decision ourselves - except we had two already and just past their 1st birthday. Got another and within 48 hours they were content with eachother, sharing toys, eating next to eachother etc. Just introduce slowly/in small amounts to begin with - worked for us!

Thanks all, I might contact a few rescues then. Placement of spare litter trays could be an issue but Im sure I can work something out!

You might be able to get away with one litter tray once they are comfortable with each other.

I got two cats from different litters and they use the same tray. I did have two, but one was never used so I got rid.

Oh, and if you have a girl, I would make sure that the second is a male. Two female cats are the combination least likely to get on.
