Flipping fish toy.

Anyone bought one of these, and their cats have worked out for to activate it. Snorg just stares at it looking perplexed. It cost me £7 so I don't want to give up just yet. Though even when I make it live she just looks at it. 🙄

Mine looked at it for about two days without even touching it. Hobbes eventually was brave enough to play with it and Nemo sometimes plays with it too.

It's not very popular in this house, the other three cats ignore it completely in case you thought it was just your Persians being thick!

Nope total flop in this house.

Yarnasaurus · 21/08/2022 23:33

Mine doesn't like it at all, and she's super playful. I had to hide it as it was disturbing her!

VivaMazVegas · 21/08/2022 23:34

It’s another no here, Charlie just runs away from it, the big wuss

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 21/08/2022 23:39

Sprayed ours with catnip. Cue 4 cats kicking the crap out of it, and one looking spaced out, wondering what the fuss is about.

Toddlerteaplease · 22/08/2022 09:22

Glad to hear she's not that think. I wonder if the squeaking noise it makes puts her off.

Mine loves his floppy fish, he wrestles with it and drags it round the kitchen, he hides from it then does a ninja pounce when it's stopped flopping. It keeps him entertained for ages.

hellswelshy · 22/08/2022 09:32

Our two despised it, and I paid nearly £20 for it a few Christmases ago 😐But as luck would have it, my mil daschund puppy adores it!!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/08/2022 09:51

At first, they were scared and kept jumping backwards amusingly. Then the big boy figured out that the fish was fucking annoying and he'd carry it right next to me, start it going, and stare at me (not the fish) until I acknowledged him. Then I trod on it a couple of times at night. I lost interest and now fail to charge it. Big Boy still pokes it hopefully sometimes.

Ours were very Wht The Jeff !
DH stuffed it with dried catnip and our Female Cat will sometimes haul it over and give it a good kicking
MaleCat picks up his skirts and legs it wuss

Iamacatslave · 22/08/2022 16:15

Our cat wasn’t impressed.

ProperCupofTea · 22/08/2022 17:16

Current catmate worked out how to use it OK but was petrified. After it stopped the first time he prowled around all puffed up and did a slow motion paw raise and whack at it, before leaping 6 ft and shooting virtually backwards out the door. Then later mistrustfully crept around it and kept a wide berth to get to his bowl. I think it was the noise of it hitting the floor that scared him, as he usually loves something twitching.

So no, it's not been a success!

Harry was very unimpressed and I think it went in the bin
