What should I do about insurance for Snorg?

Insurance premium has gone up to £167 a month. Cheddar will stay insured as she's only £50 of that. But can't afford to keep Snorg insured at that
Level.
So, do I scrap it completely and giver her her own savings account.
Or go for a lower level of cover if it's any cheaper? She's an indoor cat do accident only would be pointless. (In theory, but this is Snorg who does nothing straightforward)
I've had my monies worth with 22k of claims for her and Maia.

Eek, knotty one isn’t it. How old is Snorg now? Could you ring and ask for a reduction in premium?

£167 is a lot of money.

Shop around and see if you can get the same coverage for lower.

Leroy has a savings account as he's difficult to insure.

She's approximately 12. The only thing that's concerning me is that she's lost weight in the last 6 months. Her fur is is in good condition and she's fine in her self. Vet wasn't worried and didn't want to do bloods yet. But realised that even if she was diagnosed with something, paying for medication would probably still work out cheaper than the premiums.

Could you bring the premium down by increasing the excess?

Toddlerteaplease · 19/08/2022 12:24

I looked around but other companies, you had to pay a percentage of the bill. Which worked out no cheaper. I've stopped the cardiologist visits after four years of no changes to her septum.

My dad suggested that. I will enquire.

Increased the excess to £200 and premium has dropped to £118. Which is £19 less than I'm currently paying.
