Missing cat support thread

Hi everyone. My beloved cat hasn't been seen since Thursday evening. We've done all the tricks, but I just thought I'd start a thread here in case anyone is in the same boat and would like some support. It would also be great to hear some positive stories of cats who wandered off but came back because at the moment my head is full of images of her hurt somewhere.
It's awful and we all feel so sad not knowing where she is and if she'll ever come home again.

Hi op. It's an awful feeling isn't it the not knowing. Several missing cats on the local fb page in my local town have been found days later in garages. These garages had been checked several times already during the day but the owners went out in the middle of the night when it was quiet and called their cats name and heard a little meow back. That's how they found them.

Have you gone out late at night?

My indoor cat went missing for four days recently. We saw him in the garden a few times but he kept running off. Eventually I went out and called him around 10pm as it was getting dark. I heard nothing for ages and after twenty minutes or so he shouted back at me.

My DP went out at 11pm last night but we'll try again. I'm glad you got them back.

Hi op these people went out at 3am. An ungodly hour I know but it's when it's the quietest.

I found I had to be really, really silent after calling him. I heard nothing and was about to give up and then I heard him shouting/squeaking - he was in next doors' shed of all places, so only about 5 metres from where he'd got out!

DH had to go in and get him as he wouldn't come to me - instead he went and hid under an old, rusty lawnmower Hmm

Im in the same boat Op. I feel your pain. Its 14 days tomorrow & im panicking that someone will return from a holiday tomorrow and find her dead. Its horrible. I hope yours returns to you. A good chance i would say being only a few days.

Update: we found her! Quite a way from home - further than I believe her territory to be. Thank you for all the kind comments and hugs to all still looking for their cats.
