Help needed with cats and feeding

I am really in need some advice or ideas. I have 5 cats and split with my ex husband at Xmas time and he moved out. At the same time one of my cats was ill with a bowel infection and although it's treated, developed a habit of eating everything in sight along with one of the other cats who has picked up the same habit but wasn't ill.

So now I'm struggling massively with making sure the others are getting food and the enormous amount two are trying to eat.

My ex husband won't help with taking any of the cats with him and I really don't want to rehome them.

Does anyone know firstly of any food that will help with their appetite and then any ideas of tackling their behaviour?

At the moment they guard the food and rush to get anything available. I'm putting food outside as well as in so the others can try to eat when I'm not there but they are running to every plate to finish everything as soon as they see it.

If anyone has any advice or ideas I would be so grateful

Feed separately and don't let them mingle until the other cats finish then remove the food

Microchip feeders for the non-gobblers, so that only they can get at their own food.

Feeding the cats in separate rooms and clearing all food away as soon as they have finished.

Slow feeders so that the gobblers have to work for their food. Will show them down, but may also satisfy their hunting and guarding instincts.
