Is this normal?

We have an 8 year old male cat. For the last few weeks he's not been coming in on a night. This has now spread to him spending all his time outside. He's close to home at all times. He's either in the bushes or on an old bean bag in the garden. I though he's start coming back in when it cooled down but he isn't. He's not eating at home either. I think some local people thinks he's a stray as he's always in the bushes so they are feeding him. I'm just worried!

It's summer. When the weather changes you'll see more of him!

I hope so! He's never done this in summer before. Maybe he's just being grumpy 😾

Is anything these animals do normal?

LurpakAspirations · 22/07/2022 16:11

I agree it could very well just be the heat, its still hot for the UK even now its cooler.

But if this is really out of character and especially if his behaviour is different in other ways, it might be worth having a vet look him over.

Is he neutered?
Any new cats in the area?
Any big changes at home?

Oh lord, you’ve not done something unreasonable like have a baby have you?
