Black stuff near nose

Hey lovelies, not noticed this before but my beautiful baby girl is 2. She has this black stuff near her nose, I was just wondering whether anyone had seen it before with their cats? I've tried to clean her face, it looks a bit like the after effects of a nose bleed. But not sure if cats get nose bleeds!

It's basically cat snot I think. One of ours gets it sometimes - usually in summer when he gets a bit of hay fever.

Snot.

It's snot. They go around with snotty noses sniffing the ground and dragging gust and general muck up there. I pick mine off my cat - he seems to appreciate it.

Like everyone says, snot.

Mine gets it a lot, I burrito her and pick it off her when it gets too much!

Yep, cat bogeys!
I pick my boy cats. I'm sure I see his more as he had a pink nose. Girl cats is black so she remains dirty!

Snot. My cats get black nose and eye bogeys particularly in the summer.

Kitty bogies

Our Persians used to get it. We’d use a clean finger nail to remove it because if you try and use a tissue they think it’s a murder attempt.

LaddieCthulu · 01/08/2022 13:37

All of the above! I took my cat to the vet and asked when he was quite young and the vet said it was just grub. We just wipe it off him, which I am sure he doesn't appreciate at all!
