Cat food shortage? Anyone else?

Dcats are very fussy - will eat 3-4 varieties of dried food (only kitten variety though) despite being 5 and 12!
They like fish in jelly - but will only eat whiskas in the tins (thankfully only one tin a day between them)
price had gone up during Covid from £3.69 pack of 6 to £5/5.50
just come home from 2 weeks away price has shot up to £6.59! And can only get poultry or mixed meat
so far today I’ve tried Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, sainsburys, the range, pets at home, B n M bargains, poundstretcher - just off to home bargains now - if not there is only Waitrose left gulp!!!!

Cat food is fine here but wood based cat litter is like the holy grail at the minute. What used to be a ten minute job to pick some up is now a treasure hunt afternoon!

I've swapped to Tesco's own. I can no longer justify the cost of Whiskas.

Yup, we're switching to sainsburys own - old pricemarked whiskas stock in corner shops is cheaper than the same in supermarkets now! So we're transitioning over to the cheaper stuff, though we're not happy about having to do it.

Home bargains saved the day £4.99 so bought the 4 packs they had - also bought a poultry pack in Tesco - they will just have to suffer 😹🐟
at least we are sorted for a month now 😊

Fine for cat food here but also no wood based cat litter. We usually get the teaco one which is great. Got equivalent from Wilko and it doesn't absorb the smell of cat wee at all 🙄

My girl will only eat Perle Ocean Delicacies by Purina. Tesco online shop substituted it for Felix which had to be handed back. Luckily managed to buy it in bulk on Amazon but might stock up as and when I see it. Also noticed it and Tesco's own tinned food had went up in price but not surprised.

I've been wanting to share this tip for ages: 😃 if you have a horsey shop near you, you'll find wood pellets for horse bedding, it's a bit longer but the same stuff.

Getting my girl to use non clumping was a struggle but it’s cheaper in Aldi so I’m not going back. Brain cell one had to talk to brain cell 2 and they don’t communicate well.

Thank you @SeaweedPop
Dcat is Reuben
Met up with DD today for coffee near a different branch of the Range - managed to find another 2 packs so I can stop stressing now
Hope you all manage to solve your litter sourcing issues
