New Kittens!

Meet these little critters! I've had them for 5 days now and adore them...so glad I went for 2 of the same litter. So funny and playful - they sound like little motorbikes when they purr. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Not an experienced cat owner and am interested in advice and guidance. I have a lidded litter tray which they're both using - they have their first injections soon too. I have them on Whiskas kitten food with biscuits and kitten milk. Anything else I should be doing?

Microchips are essential, and book them in to be spayed asap as if they get out they can breed from 4 months old. Vets will vary but the minimum weight is 2lb or approx 2 months old.
Ask your vet about regular flea and worm treatments. I pay £10 a month per cat to cover these through my vet, it covers annual vaccines and a consultation discount too.
Insurance?

I've booked them in for microchips as they're free with my health plan. Insured too. I've started a flea and worm subscription with Pets at Home as I go the first month free with the VIP app.

There's quite a lot of sodium in the main brand foods, which is awful for their kidneys. Remarkably low meat content too. It's why we moved away from Felix. Maybe try something like Blink. It's a subscription service, lots of flavours, and I believe they have a kitten range. Ours love it.
