has anyone cat-proofed their garden?

we're moving soon, and the 4-6 week wait of keeping our cats in will be nothing short of hell. One of them will spray if he can't go out when he wants.

So we were thinking of getting some of that cat proof fencing. Has anyone here done it? The protectapet brand seems to be the main one but is so expensive for what is basically a few brackets and some mesh. I've seen knock offs on Ebay but do they live up to the task? At least with protectapet you do get what you pay for.

Just curious to hear some thoughts from someone who has done it!

We used purrfect fencing company for a small amount of fencing and a heavy duty gate. We blocked the end of a patio.
Cat has tried to climb it but touch wood not got up too far! A bit obsessed with more interesting garden beyond but need to avoid busy road and other cats.
Expensive but cheaper than Protect a pet.
We had it fitted by a handyman.

Do you think 4-6 weeks is necessary? We only kept ours in for two. We also took a previous one out into the garden on a harness after moving. Might work?

@DinkyDaisy thank you, I’ll look that up!

@Leftbutcameback 4 weeks is recommended but I have heard that lots of people do 2 weeks. I’d just be too worried (although the spraying would probably wear me down long before then!)

also although I feel likewise are far back from a busy road, I worry that we are also close enough that the cats might find their way there. If the cat proofing worked out and the cats weren’t depressed about only having the garden I’m thinking we will keep it
