Stronghold allergy

We have just adopted the most gorgeous, friendly little chap. The cats protection people told us he has a stronghold allergy as he has a little bald patch on the back of his neck where they put the drops.

I will chat to the vet about it but I would be so grateful if anyone else has had a cat with this allergy could let me know what works for them. We are very rural and so there are loads of flea ridden beasties out all around so he does need to be protected when we eventually let him out!

No idea about allergies but my cat gets alternate stronghold/ broardline every other month on prescription from the vet. We are in a semi rural area and he’s a hunter so is prone to tapeworm despite worming. Apparently by alternating them there is better cover for both fleas and worms and less resistance ( which is apparently an issue in my area). It would be worth speaking to your vet to see what they recommend. All I can say is that the broadline is a slightly bigger volume and spreads in his fur more so he’s more likely to try and lick it off ( and pull a disgusted face whilst doing so!)

Just re-read and realise you will be speaking to your vet!
