Because she/he can!

Mine are the same, mainly with the kibble.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/07/2022 09:33

No bloody idea.

To test the housekeeping of the staff!
or
Because they can.
or
Because all cats are bastards.
🤣

😻

Belovedfool · 03/07/2022 09:38

Why not?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/07/2022 10:23

Mine also like to nudge the water bowls until the water sploshes on my floor and then drink it from there. I put them on feeding mats so they couldn't but they mange to push them to the end of the mat and splosh there.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 03/07/2022 10:26

Are you questioning the actions or decisions of the Supreme Kitty Overlord?!

All hail the Supreme Kitty Overlord!

femmemara · 03/07/2022 10:26

Same here. Biscuits scattered throughout the downstairs too.

Want2beme · 03/07/2022 11:07

Mine are just as bad!!

Toddlerteaplease · 03/07/2022 12:02

Snorg likes taking a mouthful and depositing it in my long pile rug. Confused

Belovedfool · 03/07/2022 13:30

One of mine takes a big mouthful of meat, drops it on the carpet then licks it clean of jelly or gravy before stalking away like a disgusted duchess. She's high maintenance.

SickOfFuckingScrollingForShirts · 03/07/2022 15:05

DH's theory on this is that the cats throw their food around to check it's not alive.

My theory is that they're just awkward little fuckers who enjoy making more work for us just because they can.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/07/2022 15:45

Because why not? They don’t have to clean it up.

DifficultBloodyWoman · 03/07/2022 15:48

I swear that my two have food fights. I find find splotches of wet food a meter off the floor.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/07/2022 15:49

Because it's there.

And there...and a bit over there...

Ha!

This mucky bugger cat kills his prey neatly and eats it.

My previous cat regularly brought us half-dead prey played with them in doors and left the mess for us to clear up. She never ate them herself. On the other hand, she was the cleanest, neatest cat when it came to eating from a bowl. No mess whatsoever.
