On Thursday we picked up these two gorgeous tabby kittens from our local rescue. It's been over 18 years since we've had kittens and we're absolutely besotted. Our old cat spends most of his time asleep on my bed so we've blocked off the stairs so that they have their own spaces.
The darker one (both female) has so far been the more adventurous one and is always the first to do something - the first to use the litter tray, the first to venture out and explore, the first to purr and this afternoon she curled up on my lap and fell asleep. The other one is daintier, very sweet but just a bit more timid.
So far they have been known as One and Two while try and agree on names. Our list includes Dash and Dot (as in Morse code, one has a stripey tummy, the other spotty), Maud and Mildred, Florin and Tuppence, Fish and Chips or DH's suggestion of sticking with One and Two.
