Cat Visitor

I work from home next to patio windows. A beautiful cat has taken to visiting. He she is grey and white with big white paws and looks well fed and cared for.

The problem is, my new cat friend sits and stares and miaows at me for hours and feel bad for not letting him/ her in because that's clearly what he / she is angling for. Sometimes the visits are several times a day.

I don't want to get too friendly in case cat decides my house is their house and doesn't go home.

Any cat psychologists around?

You’re going to have to ignore. Cats are experts at taking their chances. Do you know who it belongs to?

FortonServices · 26/06/2022 20:31

No idea who the cat owns.

Best not to let it in if it’s well cared for. You can always ask on your local fb if anyone has a grey cat who’s a social butterfly.

The next issue is that we are thinking of getting a cat. There maybe problems ahead, the cat visitor clearly considers our garden as its territory and would quite like to own our house too 😂

Ignore. Get your own cat, who will swiftly clear up any misunderstandings on grey cat’s part.

Speaking from experience, that may not work...

Or it’ll pal up and you’ll have play dates

God wants you to have a cat so he’s sent a messenger.

Or your cat and intruder cat will become friends - and they'll both take over your garden, house and sofa Grin

Clearly I have a particularly antisocial cat! Mine does not have cat buddies, she hates other cats in her territory, even fights them through the window if she’s shut in Grin
