Help me name my kittens!

Getting two kittens tomorrow, a boy and a girl siblings, and need help naming them!!
Meeting them tomorrow, and if it all goes well, we are taking them home with us! They are both black and white, mostly black. Girl has a bit more white on her than her brother. Any ideas for names...?
Im thinking pistachio for the girl (nickname tasha) and peanut for the boy..
Only hesitancy i have is the shelter have a different cat on their website called pistachio that i stole the name from, will they think im weird naming my kitten the same name as one of their other cats...?
Im so exited, any other tips for kittens much appreciated!

These are the two that we're potentially getting, lying down is the boy, sitting up is the girl!

Peppermintz · 25/06/2022 18:59
Poppy and peanut?
Peppermintz · 25/06/2022 19:01
Or Peanut and Jelly?
Wolfiefan · 25/06/2022 19:01
Oh that white chin!
Of course it’s the girl about to bop the camera!! Are they neutered and chipped already OP?
The rescue wouldn’t think that was weird at all.

Cute kitchens
Bailey and Guinness were my first thoughts for names, don’t know why!
Riverlee · 25/06/2022 19:05
Or Bailey and Whiskey
Like Peanuts and Jelly.
Greengr · 25/06/2022 19:08
Flo and Fergus
LeuvenMan · 25/06/2022 19:11
Merlin and Morgana ?
Greengr · 25/06/2022 19:11

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 25/06/2022 19:13
I'd name them Nina and Naruto
Alternatively how about Luna or Velvet for the girl and Theo or Malachi for the boy
ChatterMonkey · 25/06/2022 19:16
Oo i like bailey and Guinness, both myself and dp work in a trade related to hospitality so drinks related works well!
Annonnimoouse42 · 25/06/2022 19:18
Guinness and Beamish perhaps
Wolfiefan · 25/06/2022 19:23
When we collected our pair the rescue place had named them Gin and Tonic. I changed it on the basis that one wouldn’t come in at night and I would be wandering the streets shouting that I had lost my gin. Had anyone seen my gin. 🤣

Get them home and take a few days to decide. We have 3 kittens that we rescued this year. The 1st one home to us became Mango and the other two who came as a pair are Sheldon and Soup. And yes, I feel a fool calling them in from the garden and i can almost hear my neighbours laughing at me!
MayBeee · 25/06/2022 19:28
How about herbs ?
Thyme , Mint(y) , Sage , Oregano , Nutmeg , etc .
YesItsMeIDontCare · 25/06/2022 19:29
I think Guinness and Beamish are a good choice. Go together but work well in their own too. Follow the B&W theme too.
Welcome to a lifetime of servitude and contempt 😂
Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/06/2022 19:36
I meant to rename my last two because I thought their Battersea names (Karl and Lenny) were rubbish. Never got round to it 😹.
I do like human names for cats though.
ChatterMonkey · 25/06/2022 22:18
Apparently if tomorrow goes well we can take them home with us there and then, which is a lot sooner than i expected, but good!
But means we have to panic shop all the kitten things tomorrow morning!
So mumsnet... what do we need to spoil some little kittens??
MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 25/06/2022 22:21
You don’t need to buy more stuff. Everything you own is now theirs. Enjoy 😉
YesItsMeIDontCare · 25/06/2022 22:23
Cardboard boxes. Get thee to a supermarket for the really sturdy fruit and veg ones and build a little fort.
Wolfiefan · 25/06/2022 22:27
You need a safe room for their first night. Same food and litter as they are used to.
And barricade EVERY possible small space. Under the dishwasher. Up the chimney. 😆
ChatterMonkey · 25/06/2022 22:50
The kick board beneath the tumble drier isnt attached, thats going to need attached or kittens are going to get behind the kitchen cupboards...!
Will update tomorrow once I have the cuties at home! The shelter said that we can take them home if the meeting goes well, but i dont know how meeting kittens can go badly...!
CambsAlways · 25/06/2022 22:52
Cilla & Dexter
ChatterMonkey · 25/06/2022 22:52
Names wise I've decided on Tasha (pistachio as her sunday name) and peanut!
YesItsMeIDontCare · 25/06/2022 22:59
Or Purrstachio and Purrnut 😁
