Hand hold - my wee cat is missing

Willow hasn't been seen since this morning. We've been out searching and calling, and it's completely out of character for her. She's normally back and forth every hour or so during the day and is always kept in at night. Today she's not been seen since I went to work this morning. I'm hoping she's just got stuck in someone's shed and she'll come back in the morning when they open up. She's just over a year old, and is pretty daft so my fears range from her being stuck in a shed to stuck up a tree (we have a large wood at the bottom of the garden) to having been caught in a gamekeeper's trap or hit by a car. The local estate breeds pheasants here and the gamies have been known to shoot cats. My head is running at a million miles an hour, and there's no way I can sleep...I keep imagining the worst things and yet the logical part of my mind is reminding me she probably went out 5 minutes before I came home from work, and she's having her first taste of outdoors after dark and will clatter through the cat flap in the small hours.

My village Facebook page is full of wandering kitties at the moment. I think that the long light summer evenings tempt them to stay out when they would normally come home. Glad yours is home safe again.

She's had several breakfasts, played with her sister and brother for a couple of hours, tolerated a full examination of her precious self to reassure ourselves she's not injured, and is now fast asleep on her cushion in the sun upstairs, whilst the other 2 gallop around the house and garden like racehorses. All is well with the world, at least for now.

Love that she enjoyed “ several breakfasts “ when she returned - mind her brother and sister don’t now try the same disappearing act …….

So happy she is home! We had this nightmare last year when our gorgeous house cat Marley got out the front door. He was missing for an agonising three days but found just outside in bushes where he had probably been all along despite us checking and calling for him to no avail. Cats are just so cheeky.

She had a "close to home" day yesterday, just pottered around the house, garden and a little way down the lane. Much more relaxing for us all. Thanks everyone, I really needed the handhold most of you gave me x

Magic did this. She was next to next doors bin. She'd been sitting there for hours apparently. She must have heard me calling her.
