We’re moving to rented accommodation soon and it’s furnished. We’ve tried to train our cats not to scratch furniture but only been successful in reducing it, not eliminating it completely. They have a scratching post they ignore. The female cat likes to really stretch up and sink her claws in and stretch her back out so I think we need something that is quite tall, any suggestions? The boy cat quite likes the doormat which I don’t mind him scratching. They currently go out every day and use their claws climbing the fence etc but in this accom they will mainly be indoors so worried they may want to scratch more than normal. Help!
