How much to feed kitten?

My kitten is 3 months old. He had wet and dry food, and the pack says to give them 1 and half sachets of wet food and 15g of dry food at this age.

But he's very hungry and eats it all up quickly. 15g seems like a very small amount so it doesn't feel he's getting fed enough.

I've seen some advice that says kittens should just be free fed, but obviously I don't want to over feed him.

I free feed them. Anything to stop the bowl empty miaow. Their growing so fast just like a human baby. They usually stop after a year or so and self regulate. I’ve only had one cat who over ate and he’d never known starvation in his life he was just a piglet. Persians aren’t meant to be 14lb.

I also free fed mine as kittens. They need it to grow! At least 2/3 pouches a day and a bowl of dry food always topped up.

I would free feed too, and then if need be you can adjust when he's an adult.

Kitten photos are always appreciated here.

I free fed too. I gave him a Hills Kitten wet pouch every morning and evening, and as much dry food as he wanted in the meantime (usually between 1/4 - 1/2 cup a day). The dry food was refilled every morning, and was only occasionally fully empty.

He didn’t overeat. Interestingly when tranisitioning to adult food at about one year his appetite went up. I was told to expect this, as there are more calories in kitten food rather than adult food, but it was a surprise to see it so clearly in the way DCat ate.

Another vote for free-feeding.

We left kitten biscuits out all the time and then did multiple small meals of wet through the day.

I can't possibly answer until you pay the kitten tax
