What are you treating her with and have you treated the house. 98% of the cases are fleas.

Fleas. I said exactly the same as you. You'll need to treat the house.

Oh thanks both, how annoying, it’s frontline I get it sent monthly from pets at home, not noticed any fleas in the house?

My dcat does it when he is stuck behind a closed door! He hates shut doors!

Cat fight? Mine has a bald spot from tussling with his brothers

SanFranBear · 05/06/2022 21:17

I don't think Frontline is very reliable so it sounds like it could very well be fleas!

My black cat has similar but much more fur loss from over grooming. We've treated the cats and house for fleas twice and it didn't resolve so we had a vet consult, vet thinks it's stress/anxiety which makes sense as she's fussy little thing. She's really skinny too and the vet thinks it's a combination of her getting old (11) and the anxiety (that I'm pretty confident is connected to our toddler).

she's now got 2 feliways and has calming medicine in her food every morning. Still pretty patchy but it seems to be getting better.
