We have two 10 month old kittens. One collects and brings home sticks, we have little piles of twigs everywhere! His sister keeps running off with the kitchen sponge scourers!

One of mine used to bring in stray pieces of led from the verandah roof. She doesn't tend go out there much these days. I've kept her collection!😬

One bites my big toe😝 every morning. His mouth has been checked several times by the vet, and it's fine. It's just a little quirk of his.

One taps the glass in the back door with his paws when he sees me every morning, and likes me to do the same back. He also rubs against my legs after he's eaten, which I like to kid myself is a genuine thank you from him🤔

Onemoresleeptogonow · 30/05/2022 11:20

One of mine howls at the table for a plate of veg when we have our tea!
He is a strange boy!

violetbunny · 30/05/2022 12:02

I normally let my cats outside at around 5.30/6AM, then go back to bed. Girlcat always comes inside about an hour later (cold and sometimes wet if it's been raining!) and gets under the duvet with me, tucking herself under my arm in a ball against my stomach. Once she's warmed up, she fucks off again Smile I'm literally her human hot water bottle.

Boycat looooves having his ears rubbed super hard, Likes you to get right inside the ear too, So much so that i was worried he might have itchy ears / ear mites. Got the vet to check his ears, Turns out there was nothing wrong, he just reallllllly loves ear rubs,...!

Our cat comes on along in dog walks ( not on a lead of course , just following along whenever he is in the mood .) . He takes a few short cuts across gardens , but bounds along behind us and every now and again pounces on the dog . He even follows into the local orchards . ( He is a bit of a local celeb ! ) .

Coastalcreeksider · 30/05/2022 12:18

He lays on the floor and either grabs his tail or one of his back paws and spins round and round with it clutched between his front paws. He does it in the garden too when laying on the lawn.

He also frequently opens the cupboard doors on the kitchen base units. No idea why as there is nothing in them he could possibly want. 🐈

Everytime I turn my hairdrier off after using it, she shouts at me! (vocal siamese!)

Funkyslippers · 30/05/2022 12:45

My darling cat likes to sleep on my pillow at night. I often wake up face to face with a different body part. I think she just likes to get the heat from my head but I wish she'd do it to someone else in the family!

custardbear · 30/05/2022 13:06

One of my cats collects things like nerf gun bullets or elastic bands and Carrie's them around the house before playing with them, he also likes drinking by dipping his paw into the water bowl and scooping water up and drinking - ssoooo cute! He also jumps on my bedside table and dips his paw in my water abs shakes it, first of all I thought we had a leak or I had a weird dream - I use a bottle now as never quite sure if his paws are clean (probably never lol!)

Toddlerteaplease · 30/05/2022 14:57

If I have a bath, Cheddar put her front paws on the side of the bath and Yowls very loudly. It's very cute!

Loving reading about your pet’s quirky behaviour!
We also have an older cat who is certainly beating to his own drum. He likes to jump on the bonnet or roof of very slow moving cars like a monkey at a safari park!

Boy cat is a stick bringer! He looks ever so proud of himself when he plonks one on your feet.

Ooo pictures ... here's Stormy with his nerf bullet habit

Well if we are doing photos...this is Archie with his stick collecting habit. Rather it was sticks than birds or mice!

Mine likes to sleep on me. If I turn over too much in bed she shows her disgust by walking across my face.

She finds a random place to sleep and sleeps there for a few weeks, this has included on the radiator (not her radiator bed) on a shelf, on anything work eg the Sky box and one one occasion I found her curled around the slow cooker.

We had a cat that loved bringing in McDonald's straws. Goodness knows where he got them from!

Our current cat likes to bring us dead baby rats. He kindly leaves them on the mat just outside the door. Got to watch where you're walking. 😐

GoldenPineapple88 · 31/05/2022 12:50

My cat gets into the shower every morning with my husband. Gets soaked but doesn't seem to mind. I've had cats all my life and this is the first one who does this, in fact the only one to display any interest in water at all!

They're funny little beasts.

PuppyMonkey · 31/05/2022 12:56

My old cat used to enjoy licking plastic carrier bags.

Jaxhog · 31/05/2022 13:01

A previous cat Mr. Spock used to curl up on my DH's chest when he was in the bath. He didn't do that to me. Instead, he would lie half on the edge of the bath and half on my shoulder and snuggle.

Another cat Toby was an amateur horticulturist. He brought in all sorts of wildlife, like whole tulips, other flowers, pondweed, a trowel, a hedgehog...

Our current cat Bennie is asleep with his head on my banjolele right now.

I think all cats are weird.

BookWorm45 · 31/05/2022 13:19

Another one here where my old cat LOVED licking plastic bags....

Current cat has a passion for climbing into the food cupboard (full of tins, nothign edible for him) whenever possible. Also in particular climbing into the freezer when I take the bottom drawer out (I've never had a cat doing this before) adn then having to be coaxed away so I can put the drawer back and shut the freezer door WITHOUT him inside.

One of ours will eat anything to the extent that we can't leave a loaf of bread on the worktop. He loves peppers and has made off with raw broccoli before now.

Another will not sit on my lap when I'm in my normal seat on the sofa, but if I move 2ft to the left, is on like a shot!

RomeoOscarXrayIndigoEcho · 31/05/2022 14:09

My gorgeous grey girl comes running to me to comfort me whenever I have a rant!
I can't fake her. She knows when it's a true rant.
Never had a moggie do that before.

SisterRuth · 31/05/2022 14:20

Girl cat, who found us as a stray, uses the cat flap as a door knocker. Knocked on it 10 times the other day over about a minute, I was just stifling laughter & counting how many knocks she would do. She uses the flap properly if we're not around. Also, only let's us stroke her if she's upstairs & only ever purs, sits on you if she's upstairs. Very aloof downstairs as though she's at work or something & it would be highly unprofessional to indulge in stroking & purring. Weird little biddy 😍

caringcarer · 31/05/2022 15:28

My two dogs climb on to unit in front of window and wave their paws up and down when we leave house or return. It is annoying though as they snuffle over my clean windows. DH thinks it is sweet.

iklboo · 31/05/2022 15:37

Big cat - begs for food like a dog
Small cat - sits on his cushion with his back towards us if we have pissed him off in some way only known to him. As in, stomps into the room, looks at us then pointedly turns around and faces the wall.
