My Boy died suddenly

He was just 8. He had cuddles, had his tea and went into the garden and when I looked out ten minutes later he was laid on the ground gone. It looks like it was a sudden heart attack. I tried to bring him back with CPR but it was no use. This was yesterday evening. We have buried him in his favourite spot in the garden this morning. Im absolutely heartbroken.

I’m so sorry, it’s never easy losing them and you had no time to prepare yourself.

Want2beme · 14/05/2022 12:22

What a shock for you. Really sorry this has happened. Had he been well up till yesterday? 💐

Crazycatlady202020 · 14/05/2022 12:24

I am really sorry to hear that, what a terrible shock

JoanOgden · 14/05/2022 12:28

I am so sorry, that is so sad 😞

I hope in time you can comfort yourself with the knowledge that he died very quickly with very little suffering, and that he was happy and fed and loved right until the end.

Do share his name and photo with us if it would help.

Oh cushion covers that happened to my cat. she was 8. Perfectly happy and healthy. She was sitting on the window sill i rubbed her little nose, she went out the garden, I heard a squawk like a bird noise and next minute she was laying dead. I was stunned took her to the vet and I said I know she’s dead but didn’t know what else to do. I took her to the vets in a cat carrier as well! Couldn’t stop crying proper sobs. 4 years later I still feel gutted about it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/05/2022 19:17

It’s a big loss, cats have a lot of personality. It really hurts.

tootiredtobother · 14/05/2022 19:29

I dont know which is worse, having to book a trip to the vet to put a pet down, or for them to suddenly die , have experienced the first scenario, not looking forward to the second with current cat
very sorry for you it really does hurt. xx
