Any advice my cat Harry is 1 years old at about 8 months he started having bleeding gums. I told he to the vets and he had a clean and some seal put on his teeth supposely to stop bacteria getting into the gum line. Two weeks after his surgery he developed lumps on his neck back to vets and sent away with antibiotics and another appointment for week after. Back week after more antibiotics and told if they don't go down they want to do I fine needle biopsy.
He's fine in his self eating using tray and behaving normal. But they seem to think he might have some immune system problems.

Any idea

Update been on different antibiotics and steriods lumps have gone down but not fully. Been vets again this morning they seem abit confused and I was told that they are going to speak to a specialist and see what they suggest. Hes still fine in himself putting on weight but he gets very stressed going vets.
Could it just be like humans where the lymph node just stay big for a while.
Hes still only a baby really.

I suppose it could be like a human. Especially if he's been exposed to a virus.

He's booked in for Wednesday to have routine bloods test for cat leukemia again, blood smear test and cells taken for testing. Mentioned fungal test and if they come back normal then they want to do xray on chest, urine sample and maybe bone marrow test. I just hope they find some infection that they can treat soon. He's still fine in himself

Thanks
Sal

Picked him up they think it's cat leukemia he's been put on steriods and the vets going to speak to the specialist to see what treatment plan we can do. She hasn't seen many cats with cat leukemia.
I wasn't really expecting that and I don't know whats going to happen.

My cat developed a lump when she was sedated for a dental cleanse - the lump appeared at the spot of the injection. The lump remained for a couple of weeks and then disappeared. I didn‘t take Micky to the vet because of the lump but kept an eye on it. It took weeks until it was gone.

Has it been ruled out that the lumps could be caused by the injection? I hope that it is not leukemia that is causing Harry‘s lumps.

They showed me the leukemia test and it was like a pregnancy test but they used blood in a hole at top. It wasn't a strong positive but with his normal bloods coming back out of range Placlets at 4 and he's aneimic it's definitely looking that way. He seem fine but don't know for how long. The vets said she had a cat with it a few years before what was only tested due to stomach issues and said it lived a few years on steriods.
He's still a baby and I have a older cat nearly 4 my husband thinks we might have to get her tested and if negative rehome her in case there's a risk she might get it.
I don't know what to do.
