Over active thyroid

Hello my cat is 14 and has been diagnosed with an over active thyroid.
Last week we got the meds and his weight has increased and he perked up, but yesterday pooed on my bed which is very unlike him and today was sick on the floor, for the first time since being in his meds

I am awaiting the vets call but I am really worried. I have had him years, nursed him after a leg amputation and really adore him

Has anyone got any experience

It can be a reaction to the medication. Or perhaps your cat is stressed. My 11 year old girl was vomiting a lot when we first gave her thyroid meds. In the end the vet gave her an anti sickness injection which broke the cycle and she's fine now.

I can't recall any adverse reactions from my 2 cats that were on meds for this condition. I was just so glad that they calmed down. Their energy levels were off the scale. Try not to worry. He's probably adjusting and will settle soon.

Any word from the vet?
