Found a grey lump near cat claw

I’m obviously taking him to the vet but was wondering if anyone had a clue what it is ? He is not in pain and is active normal.

Bit of a fuzzy photo, but I would think it's a tick isn't it?

My cat had one near on her paw, near the pad if I remember rightly, turns out it was a lump of cat litter stuck to it. It disappeared after a, day or two.

Looks even more like a tick in second pic ... maybe it came in on someone else?
