Adding to out litter

We currently have a 3 year old male, neutered, cat.. were thinking of adding a new kitten to the family. Would it be best to add a kitten ? Male? female?

My experience is that it's easier to add a kitten than another adult. Cats are very territorial, so expect some unhappiness.

Aww, a lovely little kitty. Hopefully, you're older cat will welcome a kitten. I don't think the sex matters. I've got 2 males, one much younger than the other, and they get on like a house in fire. I've got a female who doesn't like either of them🤔
