She was fine yesterday. But when I got up to go to bed she sat upright and wouldn't move. And didn't seem too keen on being touched or picked up. She did come upstairs but was creeping round like she was stalking something. She is otherwise waking normally. She didn't come to bed with me as she normally would. And when she did. She didn't like me of make biscuits. She let me tickle her tummy but didn't seem overly happy about being touched. Eating and drinking ok I think. I'm at work today so have left the camera on. And my dad will take her to the vet tomorrow if needed. Any ideas? Don't know if something has just really spooked her or there is something wrong.

She is Hunching up her haunches there.

Antarcticant · 08/04/2022 19:00

Hoping she is OK Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2022 19:11

Babies pull their legs up with pain don’t they? I wonder if cats do too?

Toddlerteaplease · 08/04/2022 19:43

Yes. She looked very uncomfortable. However I've just got in from work, she was waiting on the stairs. Took me upstairs to get changed, Loudly told me about her day. In her normal voice and is currently chowing down like she's not been fed for a year. Seems a bit stiff still. But much more herself. Grin

@Fluffycloudland77 I don't think she had tummy ache as she allowed me to prod her tummy. She winced when I prodded her spine as directed by the vet.

Omg, she's asleep
In magics Tipee!! She's never set a paw in there.

She’s making up her own rules now 😹 what does magic think about it?

nettie434 · 08/04/2022 22:05

It is quite clear that Cheddar has been taking a few tips from Paws in terms of property rights.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2022 22:18

You need to buy a second teepee now so she can ignore it and carry on squatting in Magics.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/04/2022 02:12

I'm amazed. Not once in the almost four years that I've had her, has she ever shown any interest In Magic's many beds. I wonder if that's why Magic has stopped sleeping in it. She absolutely loved it and was always in it. HmmHmm

Cheddar has just lept on to me, singing the song of her people. I think she's definitely feeling better!

Ha ha that must have been a shock at 2am but glad she's ok. Thinking about it when we had a thunderstorm and also fireworks time Emmy was skulking around like she was after something

Antarcticant · 09/04/2022 11:08

Aww, poor Magic - evicted from her tipee.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/04/2022 11:48

@teaandtoastwithmarmite that's her normal behaviour! But it's the first time I've actually been glad she's done it! And for some very bizarre reason. Magic has been nowhere near her teepee for weeks. I can't understand why.

Has it really been four years you've had Cheddar? I remember your posts when you first met her, it doesn't feel like four years since then!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/04/2022 15:02

I don't believe it has been four years either!

Toddlerteaplease · 09/04/2022 16:22

Yes. It'll be four years in August. And four years since Maia died. I've had Cheddar longer than I had Maia. 😿
