Dwarf kitten

Not sure what to do about this. My kitten is 5 months old and hasn't grown since I got her at three months.
Her diet is very good, she eats loads and uses the litter tray and is very energetic.
I take her to the vet once a month to be weighed and checked and there isn't really anything they can do. She is healthy as far as they can tell.
She looks like a normal cat just very very small. She never grew into her ears.
I am worried she won't live long, has anyone else had a very small cat?
I let her in the garden for a run around under supervision only as it is too risky to leave her out as a fox or another cat could kill her.
The big cat goes out - microchip cat flap.
Anyone got any experience of this?

Our microchip cat flap and feeder have both been excellent.

We had a faulty cat flap that ate through batteries but they sent us out a new ones as soon as we confirmed serial number. This was several years ago so hopefully no more faulty ones lurking in a warehouse to be sold anymore.

One of my cats was tiny for ages. When we got her spayed they said she was the smallest cat they have ever done.
She had a bit of a growth spurt just before she turned one but she is still quite small.

She looks a decent size in that photo. Five months is still young. What is her weight now? Has she already been spayed? (If not, don't let her out at all until she is).

I did look after a proper dwarf kitten, and she died at around 8 months, but she didn't look anything like yours and also had some neurological condition

Our smallest cat was always mistaken for a kitten, I’ve seen her fight off two dogs trying to play with her.

They don’t stop growing till a year old anyway.

My female cat is still the size of a 5-6 month old. She'll be six in June!

She has some breathing difficulties but I don't think it's related to her size. Otherwise she's perfectly healthy and happy with no behavioural issues or anything like that. Eats plenty and loves playing with her brothers.

I think it's actually one year four months until they're fully grown. Or something like that. I once googled.

"She never grew into her ears" is one of the cutest sentences I have ever read on here Smile

More seriously, if she is weighed and checked at the vets monthly, and they have no concerns, I don't think you need to be too concerned?

One of my cats is very small but as she is long haired you can't actually tell. Whenever she is weighed at the vet it's always a surprise that she is so light for her size - but her size is 10% cat 90% fluff.
