I've just finished getting ready for holiday...

I should be very excited, but look at the grump on this 😂

He's only 3 and a half so most of his life had been in lockdown and he's never really been away from us. We have a friend (albeit not a cat person) staying in the house for the week and he'll want for nothing.

This is our first holiday in 3 years and he's ruining my buzz with this face 😂

You big cat abandon-er you! You’re in fora punishment sulk when you get home aren’t you?

Roselilly36 · 11/03/2022 17:58

They just know don’t they, sorry OP but you won’t be the most popular person when you get home, my cats always made me suffer!

JorisBonson · 11/03/2022 18:40

Girl cat will be worse - she's attached to DH most of the time.

Maybe a Lanzarote trinket will cheer them up? 😂

DH just announced he was going to go and pack and boy cat very pointedly climbed into his lap 🙄😂

I don’t think a stick of rocks going to cut it somehow.

ThatPosterIsSoRight · 11/03/2022 18:54

Mine loved their cat-sitter.

Disloyal. I thought they loved only meeee

TheHorrorOfIt · 11/03/2022 19:00

Oh bless him!

Mine always take vengeance on me and when I come back there will be either an eviscerated rodent spread all over the dining room floor, or a well-concealed wee that I eventually track down by scent two months later…

TheLongRider · 11/03/2022 19:25

I always tell mine that we're going on holiday and when we'll be back. They seem to understand. I've always been welcomed home by a delighted cat.

JorisBonson · 11/03/2022 19:31

Oh I'm sure that will be said at 4am as I load the car and dodge the death stares.

Ours went missing on our second holiday away from him. Had to drive from Dartmouth to Lichfield and back in a day to put him in a cattery as he’d gone stealth and mil couldn’t find him.

He came straight to me when I called him. Dh was really upset by it all and made me ring daily “to check their looking after him and he doesn’t need us”. He was fuming with us when we picked him up.

You know you won't enjoy it. Best stay at homeGrin

Toddlerteaplease · 12/03/2022 09:44

You are in trouble OP. Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 12/03/2022 09:45

My cats love their cattery and are not at all happy when I collect them. As I have no Ducks, chickens or horses for them to watch.

Hoppinggreen · 12/03/2022 09:50

Oooh you just wait until you get home!!

CassandraCross · 12/03/2022 11:22

A friend of ours put their cat in the local Cattery in their village when they went on holiday, well I say a Cattery it was more like a Five Star Cat Hotel, maximum of eight guests, run by two elderly ladies who were top notch cat slaves. On return from holiday friend collected cat, the first time cat was let out cat promptly found their way back to the CatteryGrin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/03/2022 11:34

My niece uses a cattery nicer than my first flat. Each chalet has a human bed, fireplace, flat screen tv & verandah.

Let’s hope we all don’t have to buy horses and chickens as companion animals to our companion animals….

WirKindervomBahnhofZoo · 12/03/2022 20:01

Just been on holiday and on the first night back in our own beds he woke me up 3 times just to tell me how awful it was at the cattery. The lady who runs the cattery said he was an angel and really enjoyed himself and had cuddles all the time!

Toddlerteaplease · 12/03/2022 20:05

Magic is going to be very upset when she finds out that her favourite cattery slave has left. Though I'm sure the new ones will be just as good.

This really made me laugh!

I've made friends with a colony of strays, just to rub their nose in it even more.

You just need a photo with another cats paw in the background now or the tip of a tail 😂

JorisBonson · 13/03/2022 15:42

I wonder how they would feel about a new sibling?

I've just finished getting ready for holiday...

I'm also in lanzarote. Arrived yesterday and boy cat slept on my chest the whole of the night before we left!
