Possible broken leg

One of our cats just hurt himself after being surprised when another of our cats walked up behind him. He landed funny and just screamed. His from leg curled in front of him, bent funny. I was nearly sick poor thing.

My husband has taken him to an emergency vet appointment.

I'm assuming it's broken and he will be put in a cast/splint and need to be caged?
What kind of cage do you get for a cat to convalesce?

Least he has a home grown nurse there!! Poor lad!!

See what your vet recommends - possibly a dog crate might work? I hope he recovers soon.

My husband just sent this Sad
I'm hoping it's dislocated as it was bent at the joint area.

Good news!!
It looks like the joint popped out but it's gone back in!
Husband said he even jumped up onto the vets table.
2 of them checked him over and said its not broken and he doesn't need treatment except for some pain killer and to stay in for 24 hours.
They didn't even charge for the appointment.
Phew, what a roller coaster

That's great news. Sounds like he will be as right as rain with the painkillers.

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 09/03/2022 13:00

Well that's him down to 8 lives then!!
Little buggar.
You know he will expect top notch spoiling now don't you?
Maybe deliberate actions to make you up your game op!!

He has a bit of a limp and is holding it gingerly but he seems fine in himself.
Keeps asking to go out now Grin I don't think so!

Their such little sods for jumping on things at the vets. At least he’s lived to tell the tale!
