Lively kitten on bed rest...

So The Anarchokitten (f) was spayed, and jumped around too early and her wound didn't heal well. So she's back in her suit, on antibiotics and is meant to be leading a quiet life.

That happened on Friday, she's been OK - as in sleeping a bit and not jumping around too much - until today. We've been keeping her in one room, and in a puppy cage when we're not there, and someone has been with her for most of the day. But now she is back on form, and is climbing everywhere.

What do we do? Keep her in the cage until Monday? This seems v cruel, but we don't want a repeat...

I'm afraid she has to be kept as still as possible, which is not an easy task, as you knowHmm. I had to keep one of mine in a cage for several weeks once, and it was a nightmare. I put him in a room where there was a little bit of activity, so he could still be part of things, but not too much so that he could get enough rest. He managed to escape once, (not my doing), and went running out the front door, off down the road with a broken legShock

Oh god, sympathies. I tried putting our broken foster kitten in a puppy crate for 'bed rest', and he just climbed the walls and swung from the roof bars before dropping on his fractured limb. Then he did it again. And again. To be fair, he was off his tiny noddle on Metacam at the time.

He had to go into a special smooth-walled pen at the cat sanctuary in the end. They still speak of him there in hushed tones.

Back in the cage till Monday.

Guppy kitten sounds a legend too.

In the cage she goes then.

DD has just tested positive for coronavirus so they can keep each other company at least
