Cat wee on carpet

Literally just saw my cat pee on my bedroom carpet! What gets the smell out please as I’m aware the will use the spot again if they can smell their wee there.

Why do you think the cat suddenly decided to wee there? Was it shut in accidentally? Could it have a UTI?
