Anyone else's cat lets the world know their up at 4am?

Boy cat will come in at 4am and declare 'I'm home! I've had a poo, anyone up? Hello? HELLO!'

This has been going on for years, I could wear earplugs but I don't find them very comfortable or they pop out at night. Dh sleeps through the whole thing.

Is it just my cat? His sister doesn't do it just him.

Ours used to be confined to kitchen/dining room at night, but has recently learned how to open the door. We now have to shut all the bedroom doors (which he can’t open as they shut more firmly) so he sits at the top of the stairs and cries from about 6.30ish until someone gets up and feeds him.

One night DH failed to close our bedroom door properly and he jumped on the bed at about 4am and came and sat on my chest and tapped my face. I can tell you that I screamed loudly and the door has been very firmly checked every night since.
