Cat litter alternatives and older kitten

Hi everyone. We have a 9m old kitten and we’ve only ever used catsan non clumping litter for him since he was a little kitten.

Is there any cheaper alternatives out there? when can we start using clumping cat litter? Is then Aldi cat litter any good? It’s unbelievably cheap, but not sure if it’s worth it?

Have you tried wood pellet litter? It's great IMO. There is no smell whatsoever with it and a huge sack from Pets At Home costs £8 and would probably last the average cat two or three months. The only downside is that it tracks a bit on paws.

An eight month old isn't a small kitten any more so I'm sure you can use clumping if you want now.

Second the pets at home wood pellets - we love it!
