Cat not eating

Hi all. 13 year old diabetic cat. Last week stopped eating & drinking, vomited a few times. Normal food is cool cats club fish tray, as vet has instructed we need to do low carb for him. Keto cat!

Went into vets for investigation - stayed overnight, raft of tests and everything came back fine. Bloods, liver, kidneys, pancreas. All good. Run in the evening and then repeated in the morning. Vet said just gastro issue, gave him anti sickness meds and put him on a drip to rehydrate. Does link into him playing with a mouse in the garden the other day and hiding it before we could get to it. He ate plenty of food at the vet. All good, came home on Thursday.

He has now decided again that he doesn't want to eat anything offered - his normal food or anything else. We thought maybe he was bored of his usual so we've tried fresh fish, turkey mince, his old dry food, applaws. He will eat a small amount but only once. Then not again. He's also eaten grass and vomited a couple of times, but I think it's because he is hungry.

So he appears to be being super fussy but with no underlying issues. He is fine in himself, chirpy and irritating as always, pestering for bumps and cuddles and happily jumping around. Any ideas at all from anyone?!

Tooth pain?

When our normally greedy cat went off her food it was dental. She just suddenly stopped eating out of thd blue, but presumably had been in discomfort - overcome by greed - for ages because she needed quite a few teeth extracted. Annoyingly the food refusal happened on a Friday and the vet was happy to wait to see her on Monday, and tuna in spring water saved the day. She didn’t eat loads of it, but she did drink the tin water.
