Any sphynx owners?

We are getting our sphynx boy next week after his neuter (he will be 14wks). We have 3 house cats already and are beyond excited for our kitten.

Be nice to see photos of your cats and any tips?

Congrats on your baby! My number one tip would be not to bathe him too often. If you follow the advice and wash them it makes them more oily. I only wash mine every few months as he doesnt need it. Make sure you get him used to ear cleaning and nail clipping now and he will let you do it easier. Good luck, any questions happy to help.

Any advice on what's best to use. Also jumpers, I've knitted and crochet some and bought a couple which are huge. Do you use them, if so where from?
He also smells very strongly of mushroom soup.

I can't get over the size of their ears! Do they just look bigger without the fur to blend them in, or are they actually larger in proportion to the head than other breeds/moggies?

They are just so ugly but I still want one 🤣 seriously considering a Devon or Cornish Rex at the moment.

They are like stroking hot softest velvet ever to the poster that asked.

I am so cat broody. I couldn't have a spynx though as mine all roam 😔

@Franklin12 is too cold and they are vulnerable to cuts and scratches. Warm day in the summer in a car secured garden yes that would be ok.

His ears are pretty much the same size as his head. It was very hard to find a gccf breeder in Wales, my daughter has always wanted a sphynx. She almost died last year (had a thread about it) and I promised when she was better I would get one.

Baby shampoo is fine. His name is Remy. I use a lady on etsy for his fleeces, a lady called sarah from catwalk sphynx, i have tried all of the outfits but hers wash well and fit the best. He is happy to wear all the time, i change and wash every three days.

Is yours really greedy? I free feed my other 3 housecats because they graze. But this kitten eats a bowl in one go. He also chirps which my Norwegian forest cat does but I've never heard another cat do it before.
