Not herself after vaccination

My cat went to have her second flu vaccination yesterday
I've been at work all day but whenever I've been here she's not been on the bed where she normal is. She's been sitting somewhere she normally doesn't. And she's not leaning in for a stroke at all!! And she normally loves being around me!!
I'm worried!!!

Is this a coincidence??
Is this normal??
She always wants a stroke and always wants to be around me!
I regret taking her now

I think just like humans, a vaccine can make them feel a bit ...urgh.

Keep an eye on her and if you're still concerned in the morning just give the vets a call. Fingers crossed she's back to her normal self tomorrow!

I hope to god you're right
I didn't go in with her (cos I had my child and they don't let more than one person go in) and now my mind is racing about what happened in there
And she miaowed on the way to the vets but gave up after

How is she this morning? I hope you managed to get some sleep.

We had this on the first boosters ie first set after kitten jabs but it lasted 2 days then never happened again.

You have to vaccinate though so you did the right thing.

I had this after booster this year. He was very subdued and off his food. I googled and it said not to be concerned unless it lasted more than 48 hrs. The second day I was planning to phone the vet in the morning if he wasn't any better but at 3.00am he jumped on me in bed demanding food because he hadn't eaten in agggggeees and then spent the rest of the night running around the house. So obviously felt better.

@TheChip thank you for asking
I'm not convinced she's quite 100 per cent but she did come be next to me in bed which she didn't do the night before and she has leaned in for a stroke which she didn't do at all yesterday so its an improvement...

Thank you for all the comments
I hope it's just normal
Such a worry

I'm glad she's coming round to her normal self again, even if slowly.
Yes it is amazing the amount of worry we end up having over our pets.
I look like such a fool when I hand my dog over to be weighed at the vets. I peer through the window miming "it's okay baby, I'm just right here" Grin

I cried in front of the nurse handing my departed Bengal over for a dental. She clearly thought I was mental.

Then I sat in the park up the road for 7 hours with a packed lunch waiting to fetch him.

@Fluffycloudland77 ah bless you that is so sweet ❤️ ❤️
I do remember dropping my first cat off to be neutered I got back in the car and couldn't help shedding a tear!! Managed to hold them back at every one since mind 🤣

Oh neutering is awful! “Here’s my tiny kitten we already love, please put him under GA and operate on him”.

The things we do for furry despots who have no issues waking us at 4:30 for food or staying out late worrying us.
