Food for a senior cat

MrCat's favourite food is Waitrose senior in jelly, but it's been out of stock for some weeks. He's gradually coming round to eating other makes, but leaves half or more of each pouch. He seems to be be eating a bit more dry food (Meowing Heads).

Until now MrCat has had about 60% wet food and 40% dry food every day. He is nearly 11, so I don't want to go over completely to dry food as I understand it increases the risk of urinary problems in older male cats.

Which is better, increasing his dries or trying him on non-senior Waitrose wet food?

I'd probably give him non-senior food and keep an eye on his weight, I'm no expert though. My 14 yr old boy doesn't eat senior food and it hasn't done him any harm so far but he is getting a bit chonky.
