After weeks of tolerating my lap for 30 seconds at the longest, my rescue cat Will has been napping on me for 3 hours. I joined him in sleeping! Blissful way to spend a cold Saturday afternoon ❄️🐱. I have no photos of the event, but here is one of him in his usual pose of waiting for the cat flap to be unlocked so he can pretend to terrorise the neighbourhood.

Aww he is adorable, our rescue black cat spent the afternoon like this. That is my leg, I am in the bath but he still has to be touching me at all times.

Aw, I love these stories. 3 nights ago my rescue cat decided to sleep on my bed at night, instead of the couch in my bedroom. It’s been 5 months since I brought him home, and I assumed this sleeping arrangement was the closest we would get. I was so delighted about it, I didn’t sleep or move all night for fear of disturbing him and him moving back to the couch!

He still won’t sit on my lap, but your post give me hope for the future!

My (new) old ladies (12 and 10) have formally adopted the teenagers in the house....only accept feeding and litter box duties from me thus far......and I stayed in specially this afternoon when no-one else was home to make friends but they just wandered past high fiving me on the way to their preferred lounging positions.
Ah well............................
I am properly jealous of your cuddles...enjoy them all

One of my rescue panthers follows me round the house when he's in and plonoa himself on the nearest blanket if he can. The other, (his mother) is very skittish and likes to keep herself to herself, unless I'm sitting on my bed then if it's quiet she will join me for a chin scratch.
