Can anyone recommend a type of stairs carpet that will stand up reasonably well to cats?
When I google the answers talk about managing the cats’ behaviour instead. But the cats aren’t that bad - a nice stretch with a scratch as they wake up, running up and down the stairs to chase a toy mouse, occasionally scooting along on their backs and gripping the stair above. I’d rather get a tough carpet than try and train away their behaviour.
I think they did the worst damage when we first moved in and they couldn’t go out. It’s not a good quality carpet.
