Not sure how much to be worried...

Our cat vomited about 4 times early this morning. She hasn't eaten or drunk anything all day. She's been lethargic all day - she's normally an outdoor cat but hasn't wanted to go out. She's feeling sorry for herself. I called the vet earlier and they said give it until tomorrow, but it's now been the whole day she hasn't eaten or drunk anything. She's unhappy, she's lethargic, she's weak from not eating all day. What might be wrong with her? We're really worried now. It was around lunchtime when I spoke to the vet, so I was sure she would have eaten something by the evening, but still no.

No advice OP but Flowers and a handhold because I am also really anxious about our cat (low appetite, much quieter than normal) and don't feel reassured by the vet's advice to see how he goes over the weekend.

Will your girl eat treat food like Dreamies?

@cheeseismydownfall she did have a couple of dreamies about half an hour ago out of my dh's hand. Now she's gone back upstairs to hide in the bedroom again

I'd call the out of hours vet and try to get her seen to be honest, if only to put your mind at rest. Poor girl definitely sounds like something is bothering her.

She's now desperately trying to get out, but I don't want her to because she hasn't eaten, so won't have energy (to escape the local bully cat). She's refusing to eat but crying by the door. She has a litter tray that she sometimes uses when it's really cold

Wanting to go out is a good sign, has she had anything to drink? Cats can get stomach bugs, mine had to go on a drip, but she was old and frail. Hopefully, she will be OK by morning

How is your cat doing this morning OP?

How is your cat doing this morning OP?
Thanks for checking up. She finally ate the next morning and is fine now. Seems like it was a bug and I worry too much!

Oh good I am pleased! Our DCat also perked up the next day and is back to his usual self.
