Any idea how to encourage litter tray use? Put her in the tray and she didn’t do anything, hopped out, went upstairs and weed on the bed!

Our cat was only six weeks old when we got her - she had been taken from her mum and dumped in a sealed up cardboard with her brothers so we fostered her first. She had no idea how to use a littler tray so I would put her in the tray and gently use her paws to rake the litter and eventually she worked out what to do. But definitely go for the finest grain of litter because anything bigger can hurt them when they’re small.

Also, put newspaper down everywhere and if she pees on it, put the soiled paper in her litter tray so she learns to associate the litter with the pee smell.
