Will they ever be civil?!

New kitten arrived New Year’s Eve - Dobby.
Current resident cat is 2.5 years old - Thor.

Hissing and growling has stopped, but Dobby is constantly going for Thor. No noise from either of them, but it doesn’t look overly friendly anymore! They are separated for a lot of the day, when they do get together they spend the whole time chasing each other, swiping, and clambering over one another. There is no let up!

Dobby is probably 9.5 weeks old. He wasn’t 8 weeks when we got him like we were told he was.

Will my dream of both my boys snoozing by my side ever come true!?! How long for the brotherly love to come in… it will get better won’t it…?!

It will get better, but Dobby wants a playmate. That's why he's bothering Thor, who is getting annoyed. Any chance of getting Dobby a playmate his own age?

Not at the current cost of cats 🤣 unfortunately!

I am the playmate he is left with, and I do a pretty good job I think. No one else has the time for it, despite it being everyone’s idea except mine, to get a new cat. Thor really wants to be around him, he looks for him in the morning if he’s not where he is normally. And won’t willingly leave the room Dobby is in, so can’t be tooooo annoyed, can he?!

Dobby just keeps going for Thors neck, I don’t leave them unsupervised - which is exhausting!
