Rescue kitten advice

Hi we have just bought home our rescue kitten 6 months old after a 2 day journey across Europe. Understandably he is very shy and we have put him in a room with all his things. He really needs a bath as is covered in wee but I don't want to stress him too much, any advice? Thank you.

Could you swab him.down with moist cotton wool? Normally they clean themselves but he's probably feeling stressed at the moment. He probably just needs some quiet time to get used to his new home xxx

Thank you that sounds like a plan didn't even think about that option. Will def try that if I can reach him. He has licked himself a few times briefly before staring at us 😁.
