DCat is 12 and was diagnosed diabetic a couple of weeks before Xmas, he’s on insulin and we’re still working to stabilise him on the right dose.
He has lost a lot of weight and is being quite odd about food. He’s very interested and yells when the food comes out, but often just turns his nose up. Won’t touch the dry food he spent his entire life on to date.
It doesn’t seem to be entirely loss of appetite as he is VERY keen to eat our food, and it’s not that he hates his own food as from time to time he’ll eat quite keenly.
He seems well in himself, sleeps a lot but he is getting on. He just seems so thin, not helped by comparison with his enormous brother …
He’s due back at the vet next Wednesday but wondered if anyone had ideas or experience?
