Hey!

We have a 6 month old kitten and are getting another one in two weeks - can't wait! I'm a teacher snd my partner also works full time. What do we need to know? I have some questions.

When we got our first kitten it was the summer holidays so I was in all the time, would the new kitten be ok alone from 7:30-4pm, with the other kitten, and no adult interaction? Or do we need to fork out for day visits from someone?

How does the dynamic change with litter trays, feeding etc?

Introduce them to each other slowly , if you can use a bit of cloth ( old t-shirt etc ) and rub it o your current cat and take it to the kitten and vice versa .

If you can get someone to call in during the day it would be good but not essential .
Get a timer bowl for the food they can have a mid day snack plently of water .
They will keep each other company and entertained .

As far as litter trays are concerned I think the general rule of thumb in one tray per cat although I know plenty that are happy to share
